Kerton Construction is the proud distributor of the Arxx High Performance Wallsystem in the Truckee-Tahoe area.
The Arxx Wallsystem was one of the first Insulated Concrete Form (ICF). Basically, ICFs are giant stay-in-place polystyrene blocks which are reinforced with rebar and then filled with concrete.

Arxx polystyrene emits no CFCs to harm the environment. In fact, Arxx Building Products won the 2001 Green Product of the Year at the 2001 Green Building Conference.

This Arxx home was built on a steep lot. The street side of the house was only one story (and the garage was on the top story). The back of the house was topping out at 50'.

A standard wood framed home would have to use an R-50 fiberglass batt to attempt to match the insulation quality of an Arxx home.
Arxx walls are continuous from foundation to roof, no interruption in insulation. Infiltration is nonexistent. A feature with which wood framing cannot compete.
