This open airy ski lodge combines high-tech features with a design reminiscent of old mining timbers.

While this home has amazing intricate detail in the woodworking, tile, and masonry, it is on the cutting edge of technology. The Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe awarded this home the 2005 Alternative Building Methods Project of the Year.

The front of this home boasts large pylon styled columns and
drystack retaining walls. Tons of rock.
The grand entry has 9' wide masoned steps
with iron crafted railings. The oversized front
door has Dutch Door Sidelights.
This is the masonry gas fireplace in the
kitchen. As you can see, the fireplace
"sits" on the counter. The perfect place to
warm your hands...or toast marshmallows.
The kitchen has a masonry gas fireplace, freezer drawers,
two dishwashers, and a commercial style Wolf range. The
appliances surround a large center island topped with a
one-piece solid granite counter top.
The master shower has custom designed
and created tile work. The smaller dark
tiles were actually cut on site from the
same slate used on the floor. The shower
boasts two different types of shower heads;
one directly overhead (which drowns you),
and the other is a wall mounted water
efficient shower head.
This 4' x 12' dining room table was custom
designed and made by the owner of the
company out of recycled materials.
This Rumford
fireplace meets
EPA Phase II
standards. It was
built on the
second floor; steel
beams and
microlam joists
were needed to
meet the excessive
weight of this
masonry fireplace.
The timbers used on this fireplace are the same timbers
from the milled trees on the lot. The doors are custom made.
